Biography

Mr Bruce Lendon assumed his role as Australia’s High Commissioner to Trinidad and Tobago on 15 October 2019 and will serve in the Caribbean until 2022.  He will be accredited to Antigua and Barbuda, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).

Mr Lendon is a career officer with Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.  He has previously served overseas as Deputy Head of Mission in Cairo, as well as postings in Port Moresby, Honiara, Tel Aviv and Nairobi.  In Canberra, Mr Lendon has worked on a range of international political and economic issues, including in relation to Afghanistan, the Pacific, Southeast Asia and Africa.

Mr Lendon has a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from the University of Queensland.
